Granite River Labs Inc. (GRL) is pleased to announce the software release for the USB
Power Delivery and USB Type-C® Tester and Analyzer.
C2 Software & firmware versions are as below:
Software version : 1.6.21.0
Firmware version : 2.1.88
Eload version : 9.8
C2-EPR Software & firmware versions as below:
Software version : 1.6.21.0
Firmware version : 1.1.88
Eload FW version : 1.5
PPS FW version : 4.0
Key updates:
- Software updated to handle the USB PD3 CTS Q4.
- Software updated to handle VIF tool v.3.7.0.0.
Issues addressed:
- PD.PROT.PORT3.1- Tester validation updated to handle the PS RDY message for VCONN Swap AMS.
- PD.PROT.SNK.5- Tester validation updated to handle the Bit 29(Dual Role Power) in Source Capability Message.
- PD.USB4.DRST.5- Tester validation updated to handle the Data Reset Sequence.
- PD.PS.SRC.3- Tester validation updated to handle the timer for Request message.
- PROC.PD.6 - Tester validation updated to handle the Reject response for VCONN Swap message.
- PD.PS.SNK.3- Tester validation updated to handle the PS RDY message after PR Swap sequence.
- PD.EPR.SNK3.1- Tester validation updated to handle the EPR request message for SPR PDO.
- PD.USB4.EUSB.4- Tester validation updated to handle the response for DR Swap message.
- CHECK.PD.2- Tester validation updated to handle the Bit 5(Port Data Role) after DR Swap AMS.
- CHECK.PD.10- Tester validation update to handle the null termination for Manufacturer info message with 22 bytes.
Known issues:
Software generated VIF is not compatible with the USB-IF VIF generator tool.
Instructions to update the software:

Download the software from https://graniteriverlabs.com/download-center/

Run the installer and follow the instructions on the screen.

After installing the software, update the firmware of your GRL-USB-PD-C2/C2-EPR before running any tests.
