Q: What is the difference between tpla_fast and tpla_slow?
A:
PRx will switch to Fast Mode tpla_fast after receiving NAK, or if PRx fails to decode the FSK response correctly. Otherwise, it will switch to Slow Mode tpla_slow.
tpla_slow = 1500ms, tpla_fast = 200ms
The PLAX packet is expected if you obtain the following:
- ACK - Use Slow timings for RPP+ Packets. No further actions will be required.
- NAK - Use Fast timings for RPP+ packets. You will need to decrease the current for this case.
However as a test tool, this is not mandatory until or unless it is specified in the CTS.
